The best kept secret of all is that we have a robust research effort with 190 principal investigators, employing over 800 people and bringing in between $150-200 million in research grants.
In fact, 3 of the top 5 UCSF School of Medicine NIH Research awardees do their clinical work and most of their research at ZSFG. Therefore, the function of the Dean’s Office at ZSFG is to manage the partnership between the San Francisco Department of Public Health, the City and County of San Francisco and UCSF.”
