UCSF School of Medicine Ranks in U.S. News Best Graduate Schools’ Top Five for Ten Years Running

For the 10th consecutive year, UC San Francisco’s School of Medicine placed in the top five nationally in the U.S. News & World Report survey of best graduate and professional schools.

UCSF was the only medical school to be ranked in the top five in the nation in both research and primary care, the categories the magazine uses to assess medical education, ranking fifth in biomedical research and third in primary care education.

UCSF was also the only medical school ranked in the top five in all eight of the specialty areas covered by the survey this year: third in anesthesiology, internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, and radiology; and fifth in pediatrics, psychiatry, surgery, and family medicine, a specialty ranked by U.S. News for the first time this year.
