2) What are the hardware and software requirements?

You will need a Windows 7 or Windows 10 computer with Internet connection. Access from mobile devices such as tablets, iPads, and smart phones are not supported at this time. In addition, Macintosh computers may work, but are not guaranteed by SFGH IT and not supported by the DPH IT. For more information, click on: Hardware and Software (System Requirements). For two factor authentication, you will need a smartphone, tablet or land line.

3) What is the DPH Active Directory (AD) username?

The DPH AD username is the account you use to access a DPH resource such as the DPH MyDesktop or WebConnect Remote Access websites. The DPH AD account is different than your UCSF AD account. It is usually your first name, a space, followed by your last name. For example: Pat Doe

4) How do I request a DPH AD account or permission to use remote access?

The DPH AD account request must be approved and submitted by your Residency Coordinator, Division Administrator, or Management Services Officer (MSO). If you have questions, contact the UCSF IT Service Desk at (628) 206-5126 for further assistance.
